2 SR inspired by Henri Rousseau

We loved the colourful jungle pictures in "Bear Hunt" by Anthony Browne. He was inspired by Henri Rousseau. After looking at the pictures we drew our own jungle scenes and then copied them on paper and in paint.

2SR Amazing Animals

What a great day we had with the RSPB at Fairhaven lake. Bug hunting, a brilliant fossil wall and some incredible bird facts. Kate, Richard, Sue and Steve were really interesting and had fun things for us to do. We all loved climbing "the Big One" and of course running down again and again!

It was lovely to see Mrs Smith again as she joined us for the day. Thank you!

2JH Fairhaven Lake

2JH also had a fantastic day at Fairhaven. We got to experience a lot of different things during the day and find out some amazing facts about animals. What a brilliant day thank you RSPB Fairhaven for showing us around and being great guides.

Fairhaven Lake Trip

2CB loved being nature detectives and finding out about habitats and searching for animals and mini-beasts. The children learnt where they may find insects and how to look out for them. They had a picnic inside as the weather wasn't the best but that didn't stop the class having a great time. We had plenty of exercising climbing a huge sand dune and racing to the bottom then creating lots of animals in the sand. Have a look at our adventures below. What a brilliant day thank you RSPB Fairhaven for showing us around and being great guides.

Anthony Browne

The children have been reading a range of Anthony Browne stories and researched all about his life. The class used iPads, laptops, fact cards, books and the computer to find facts and his book titles.

The class worked really hard to make the display and used these facts to complete book reviews.
