We have had a fantastic couple of afternoons at the Year 6 Initiative. Thank you very much Year 6 you have done a great job!

Magic Potions

In Maths we have been learning about capacity and Miss Johnson set us a challenge to make some Magic Potions. First we were given a recipe of different amounts of potion we had to measure.

We carefully measured everything! 

It got a bit messy in the classroom.

Then we gave our magic potions a good mix and ......

We all had a little taste of our potions and something strange happened...........

Collaborative Learning in Literacy

The children have been working in teams to gather evidence and investigate our topic 'Amazing Animals'. The children were given a specific role in the group - reader, writer, researcher, checker. Focusing on good team skills. The children were really focused and made excellent results by working as a team. Well done Year 2.

Habitats

We have been finding out about the habitats of different animals through our Science, Art and DT lessons. It has been great fun and the children have really found it interesting. Take a look at our habitat we have made for some animals. We had to make sure that our animal had everything it needed!!

Superhero Day
