The children in the maths set have been working with smarties to collect data to make tally charts, pictograms and bar charts. Only a few got eaten on the way!

Who's Who?

We had to become Reading Detectives to solve the character cases. Lots of information to sift through about what they looked like, said, thought and felt. Working in teams we collected the evidence and identified the suspects.

Aspiring Poets in 2JH

Last week Year 2 were using their senses to help describe different things. We then created our own poems. The children wrote some fantastic colour poems. Well done 2JH.

As it was pancake day last week we also decided to write poems about pancakes, but first we needed to use our senses to find out all about pancakes.....

This term Year 2 will be learning how to get to grips with using the new iPads. Today we found out about what is inside an iPad.

Busy busy!

Welcome back to everyone after half term. We hope you have had a good break and managed to get out and about.

This term our topic is 'Toys Party' and we know the children will enjoy what we have in store.

This week we have started our new science topic about how materials can change when you add heat. Today we looked at how bread changes into toast. We used our senses to find out about the differences we could see, smell, taste and touch..
