London's Burning
At the end of last term we finished off our topic with burning down our London streets. The children loved this and really got a sense of what it would of been like during the fire. A fireman came in to supervise our fire and also let us try on his uniform.

The Great Fire of London.
In history this week we have been finding out about the Great Fire of London that happened in 1666.
It has been really interesting finding out about how people lived in the past. The people lived in houses made of timber and their roofs were made of straw. They were able to shake hands with their neighbours if they leaned out the windows because the city was so cramped.
In class we have been making houses to create a London City centre. I hope the everyone remembers to put their fires out at night before they go to sleep......
